One Air Force veteran is inspiring people to take clothes they don’t wear anymore and let him turn them into art.

The custom clothes he’s creating right here in Southwest Florida have earned him global attention and a spot in New York City’s Fashion Week.

Loki Anthony’s artwork swirls and shimmers on a jean jacket he created by re-purposing a pageant gown.

“If you have something in your closet you haven’t worn, he will rework it for you and it saves our landfills. He’s all about reuse, recycle and repurpose,” said Suzi Hozfeld with Envy Pageant Productions, Inc. “Every piece of artwork comes from his heart.”

Clothing is a canvas for this Alva-based artist who’s been drawing since childhood.

“I considered it like a therapy to do the art,” said Anthony. “A constructive outlet for the things I’ve gone through.”
